SLUH INTRAMURALS

GUITAR HERO


GENERAL INFORMATION
:
1.  Contests will be held in Room 215 C during Activity Periods and the day's  contests will begin approximately  ten minutes into the Period.
2.  ACADEMIC OR SLUH CLUB/SPORTS TEAM CONFLICTS HAVE PRIORITY OVER INTRAMURALS!!!
3.  Students should listen to Social/Intramural Rep's./announcements and check the  I.M. bulletin board to the east of the Cafeteria Doors for game dates/times.


TEAMS
:
1.  Teams will be broken down by homerooms, with each homeroom supplying a Lead Singer, A Guitarist, a Drummer, and a Bass Player. 
2.  Each Homeroom should designate a participant for each of the following Guitar Hero IV (or Rock Band) on the Hard Level of Play.
3.  The total points accumulated by each I.M. TEAM will determine which teams advance  to the next round.

 

CONTEST STRUCTURE:

Day 1:

Games 1-3 of the Tournament Bracket will be played  (+5 Cup Points Each For Participating)

Three Teams will Advance to the Second Round (+2 Cup Points Each For a Victory)

 

Day 2:

Games 4-6 of the Tournament Bracket will be played (+5 Cup Points Each for New Teams Participating)

Three Teams will Advance to the Semi-Final Round (+2 Cup Points Each For a Victory)

 

Day 3:

Games 7-8 of the Tournament Bracket will be played

Two Teams will Advance to the Final Round (+2 Cup Points Each For a Victory)

Day 4:

Game 9 of the Tournament Bracket will be played

Winning Student Team will compete against the Faculty All-Star Team (+5 Points For Winning the Event)

(+5 Cup Points for Any Team that Outscores the Faculty All-Star Team)

  GAME RULES:

1.  The event will follow a Single-Elimination Bracket Tournament Structure with the 4 Homerooms from one Team facing off against  the 4 Homerooms from another  Team.
2.  Guitar Hero IV or Rock Band game equipment will be used. 
3.  Mr. Barton will announce which songs are to be used for Hard Level of difficulty once participants arrive to the event - NOT ahead of time.
4.  For each game, designated players will face off head-to-head style against their opposing Team's band. The winner of each head-to-head song will earn a point for his team and the Team with the most total points out of the 4 points possible in a day's contest will advance to the next round. 
5.  If a team does NOT have one of the required band members ready to play at the time their matchup is called for will forfeit a point to the other Team.
